Cybersecurity Takes All of Us!

Cybersecurity isn’t just an IT issue, it’s an everyone issue. Our schools hold valuable data, and protecting it takes a shared commitment across teams, roles, and partners.

The following fundamentals continue to make a real difference:

  • Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) works. This extra step remains one of the simplest and most effective ways to stop attackers.
  • Threats keep evolving. Ongoing awareness, regular training, and strong security practices are essential as tactics become more sophisticated.
  • People matter most. Informed staff, quick reporting, and a culture of vigilance are just as important as any technical control.

Cybersecurity is a shared responsibility. When schools stay informed, proactive, and connected, we’re stronger together and better prepared to protect our students, staff, and communities.

The WSIPC Purchasing Program connects K-12 public and private schools and public agencies to a network of technology partners, leveraging the power of your WSIPC Cooperative to provide competitively bid goods and services at a reasonable cost. Each vendor who becomes a part of the WSIPC Purchasing Program has been awarded a bid contract through an official RFP process in compliance with Washington State Procurement RCWs.

WSIPC is a public agency that provides technology solutions (including Skyward), services, and support to K-12 schools. WSIPC’s purpose is to help schools do more with every dollar and to empower them with the tools to work smarter. To learn how your district can become a part of the WSIPC Cooperative, contact us at info@wsipc.org or 425.349.6600.
