Advisory Groups

District and ESD staff play an important role in improving IEP Online 3.0. Their experience helps identify problems, prioritize improvements, and determine whether changes work as intended.

Advisory groups may change as priorities evolve and work is completed.

District Advisory Group

The three groups previously focused on workflows and training, reporting and compliance, and user permissions and roles have been combined into one advisory group.

Bringing these conversations together will help district representatives address issues that affect multiple parts of the system and coordinate recommendations for improvement.

Next meeting: Friday, November 6, 2026, at 10 a.m.

WSIPC/IEP Online Special Education Advisory Council

SEAC has a separate role from the district advisory group. It reviews whether identified system issues have been successfully addressed and whether improvements work as intended in district settings.

The October 7 SEAC meeting focused on reviewing corrective action progress, not determining conformity. SEAC will reconvene when there is sufficient evidence from completed fixes and district testing to support a meaningful assessment.

A software fix being released does not, by itself, mean an issue has been resolved or that the system meets requirements.

The WSIPC/IEP Online SEAC is separate from the Washington State Special Education Advisory Council administered by OSPI.

Medicaid

The Medicaid Advisory Group continues to address questions about service lists, provider setup, service documentation, and Medicaid-related workflows.

Recent discussions have focused on simplifying service lists while maintaining the information districts need for accurate documentation and compliance.
