Thursday, September 17, 2026 - 2nd Update
September 17, 2026: WSIPC Issues Formal Notice of Non-Conformance to PCG
Following unanimous action by the WSIPC Board of Directors, WSIPC has formally notified Public Consulting Group (PCG) that IEPOnline 3.0 is in a state of non-conformance requiring remediation.
The notice identifies three principal areas requiring remediation: district workflow; reporting and compliance data; and user permissions, roles, lists, configuration, and related administrative functionality.
PCG has been asked to provide a consolidated corrective action plan by Friday, September 25. The plan must identify the specific issues being addressed, corrective actions, responsible PCG owners, expected completion dates and milestones, interim mitigations where needed, testing and validation processes, known risks or dependencies, and a transparent mechanism for communicating progress.
The Board has also established that release of a software change, by itself, will not necessarily be considered resolution. Resolution must be demonstrated through successful functionality and appropriate validation with the districts that depend on the system. SEAC will provide the statewide district voice in determining when the identified conditions have been resolved.
What happens next: PCG’s formal corrective action plan is due September 25. WSIPC will continue sharing substantive progress, milestones, and validated resolutions through this page.
What districts need to know: No new district action is required as a result of this notice. Districts should continue reporting technical issues through established PCG support channels and using the resources and updates available on this page.
Thursday, September 17, 2026 - 1st Update
Work on the IEPOnline 3.0 response continues across several tracks, including technical remediation, data and integration work, district support, compliance guidance, governance, and direct district advisory work.
Not every issue has the same cause or remedy. Some require technical corrections, while others involve data migration, configuration, workflow or design decisions, reporting dependencies, or additional guidance. For that reason, different issues are moving through different review, testing, and resolution processes rather than toward a single systemwide “fix date.”
WSIPC and PCG continue working through known issues, the WSIPC Board remains directly engaged in monitoring priorities and progress, and statewide district advisory groups have begun meeting to bring practitioner experience directly into improvement work.
What happens next: Technical progress and milestones will continue to be reflected in the Issue Tracker, while substantive stakeholder and advisory-group developments will be shared here.

Following its recent statement on IEPOnline 3.0, the WSIPC Board and staff are continuing direct engagement with partners and stakeholders affected by the transition.
The Board has met with WEA leadership to establish a direct channel for educator feedback and better understand the issues creating the greatest workload and service impacts. WSIPC is also coordinating with PCG and educational service district partners to align technical information, district guidance, and next steps.
What happens next: Feedback from these conversations will help inform issue prioritization, support needs, and future public updates. We will share substantive developments here as they occur.
What districts need to know: No action is required as a result of this stakeholder update.
