Summer Learning Opportunity for Washington Students!

Big news for Washington students and families!

DiscoverWorks, a free, full-day summer program, is launching in 2026, bringing expanded learning and enrichment opportunities to thousands of students across King, Pierce, Kittitas, Yakima, Klickitat, and Grant counties.

Led by the Association of Educational Service Districts (AESD) and fully funded by Ballmer Group, DiscoverWorks will serve students entering grades 1–9 with engaging experiences at no cost to families.

This isn’t your typical summer school. Students will build skills in reading and math while also exploring hands-on activities like STEM projects, arts, sports, and field trips, all in a safe, supportive, and fun environment. Meals and full-day care are included, helping remove barriers for families who need it most.

The 2026 launch will include 105 schools across 19 districts in the Puget Sound Educational Service District 121 and Educational Service District 105 regions, with a vision to expand statewide in the future.

Programs like DiscoverWorks are proven to make a difference, helping students stay engaged over the summer, build confidence, and return to school ready to succeed.

Learn more and see participating schools on the DiscoverWorks website.

Let’s help spread the word and make sure families know about this opportunity!
