47th Annual Superintendent’s High School Art Show

Live-streaming on May 28 at 3pm

May is Arts Education Month in Washington! Even though schools are closed, we can still find ways to come together to celebrate the arts. This includes the 47th Annual Superintendent’s High School Art Show where 19 statewide awards will be announced.

The Superintendent's High School Art Show is an annual event co-hosted by OSPI and the Washington Art Education Association (WAEA). High school students from all nine of the state's Educational Service Districts (ESDs) participate in this artistic celebration each year. The finalists from these regional ESD shows are invited to participate in the Superintendent's High School Art Show.

This year’s show will feature many types of art, including photography, performing arts, and Ekphrastic poetry (poetry that is inspired by art).

Click here to get a sneak peek at this year’s art show entries!

Tune in on May 28th at 3pm to watch this year’s award ceremony and a special showcase of the performing arts!

The show will air here on OSPI's Facebook Page

Even though schools are closed, this show is proof that we can still find ways to come together to celebrate the arts.
