About the Role

As a Data Validation Specialist, you will play a critical part in the success of WSIPC’s migration to a new platform. Working closely with the Product Support & Services department and various project teams, your primary responsibility will be to validate K-12 student, finance, and HR-payroll data, ensuring smooth transitions and high-quality outcomes during the migration process.


Key Responsibilities

  • Data Validation: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of large datasets related to K-12 students, finance, and HR-payroll.
  • Collaboration: Work in partnership with product teams and project teams to ensure data validation processes align with migration goals.
  • Data Analysis: Conduct thorough reviews of core datasets, identifying data issues, and monitoring trends.
  • Reporting: Prepare comprehensive reports on data quality and risk assessments for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Quality Control: Apply quality control standards to maintain data integrity throughout the validation process.
  • Problem Solving: Investigate data discrepancies and provide solutions to ensure project milestones are met.

Ideal Candidate Traits & Qualifications

  • Data Management Expertise: Proven experience managing and validating large datasets with a focus on precision and consistency.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to conduct detailed analysis, assess data trends, and evaluate data quality issues.
  • Reporting Proficiency: Skilled in preparing reports that present data insights and risk assessments clearly and concisely.
  • Administrative Skills: Experience in generating data capture templates and supporting data-related activities.
  • Quality Control Knowledge: Familiarity with procedures and standards designed to uphold data accuracy and integrity.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to explain complex data processes to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Team Collaboration: Demonstrated experience working effectively with both product and project teams, particularly in the context of platform migrations.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional focus on detail, ensuring data is meticulously validated and project deadlines are met.
  • Problem Solving Aptitude: A proactive approach to resolving discrepancies in data.
