Introducing the New Qmlativ Dashboard Module!

Publishing Dashboard Items

With the new Dashboard Manager feature, District Administrators can now share district-created Live Tiles, Chart Tiles, and Configured Widgets using Security Group permissions. District Administrators can also clone and configure Skyward-created widgets and add Live Tiles/Chart Tiles to the Dashboard Manager.

Within the Dashboard Manager, administrators can select the security groups they wish to publish the Tile to via three publication levels:

  • Add to Library: Includes the Chart or Live Tile in the Dashboard Library for all users with security access so users can add the Chart or Live Tile to their Dashboard as necessary.
  • Add to Dashboard: Includes the Chart or Live Tile in the Dashboard Library for all users with security access and adds the Chart or Live Tile to their Dashboard. Users can delete the Chart or Live Tile from their Dashboards as necessary.
  • Pin to Dashboard: Includes the Chart or Live Tile in the Dashboard Library for specific users and adds the Chart or Live Tile to their Dashboard. Users cannot delete the Chart or Live Tile.

Any configuration changes applied to a published Dashboard Item automatically update the Item in the end user’s Dashboard Library or on their Dashboard.

Handling Long Load Times

Individual Live Tiles & Chart Tiles (dashboard items) with long load times can negatively impact system-wide performance. These delays are often due to inefficient filters set by users. The new Dashboard Manager Module can help administrators identify and manage these performance-impacting items using the new Dashboard Item Performance Tracker and the Mass Update Dashboard Item Status Utility.

Qmlativ now also automatically detects and disables underperforming dashboard items on a per-user basis, helping to prevent system-wide issues.
