Introducing Our WASWUG 2026 Pre-Conference Workshops
Let Curiosity Lead the Way!

Curiosity helps us stretch, grow, and see possibilities hiding in plain sight. At WASWUG 2026, our pre-conference workshops are built to help you do exactly that: follow your curiosity, learn something new, and step into your work with a bit more confidence (and maybe even a little Lasso-style optimism).

This year’s lineup offers practical learning for curious minds:

  • Be Curious: Tidy Up Your Digital Locker with Google Workspace
Presented by Kristina Wambold, ESD 112

Kristina will guide you through decluttering, organizing, and securing your digital workspace—and she’ll even help you discover some AI tools that might just surprise you. Bring your laptop and your curiosity; you’ll leave feeling lighter, sharper, and ready to work smarter.
  • Believe in Better: Leading Change with Purpose
Presented by Lindsay Grams and Kristen Johansen, WSIPC

As Ted would say, “Believe.” This session helps you do just that—believe in better leadership, better systems, and better ways to guide your teams through change. With clear frameworks and practical strategies, you’ll learn how to lead with heart, purpose, and forward momentum.
  • HR – Qmlativ Customization
Presented by WSIPC Product Support & Services

If you’ve ever wanted to peek behind the curtain and shape your database with confidence, this advanced session is your chance. Explore how to extend and customize Qmlativ the right way—using projects, custom elements, and schema changes rooted in best practices.
  • Student – Qmlativ Customization
Presented by WSIPC Product Support & Services

Calling all database adventurers: this session dives into student-focused customization with the same expert guidance, best practices, and hands-on exploration. Learn how to tailor your system to fit your district’s needs while keeping stability and maintainability front and center.

The WASWUG Conference is a Washington State K-12 User Group, hosted by WSIPC, where users of Skyward’s software can come together to share experiences and ideas to improve their understanding and use of the Skyward product suite. WASWUG provides a unique opportunity for users to network with one another, attend breakout sessions presented by other users, and connect with companies whose products and services enhance Skyward’s software. WASWUG is held each March at the Hyatt Regency in Bellevue, WA.

WSIPC is a non-profit public agency that provides technology solutions, services, and support to K-12 schools. WSIPC’s purpose is to help schools do more with every dollar and to empower them with the tools to work smarter.
