WASWUG Gives Back

Our WASWUG charity recipient, Northwest Harvest, is rolling out their emergency response program to deliver nutritious food across the state.

Donate now and help make a difference for families in our community!

WASWUG is proud to join Northwest Harvest in making a difference for families in our community. We believe everyone should have consistent access to nutritious food that nourishes the body, mind, and spirit. The COVID-19 pandemic has made it more difficult for people to access food and has underscored tremendous inequities in our food systems.

During 2020, the number of Washingtonians who cannot put food on their tables has more than doubled. After Washington declared a state of emergency in March, we saw families’ needs change. People lost their jobs and income. They could no longer rely on in-school meal programs for their kids, and they had to buy more food at one time.

We are not powerless. We can do something to help people who are at risk of going hungry during this crisis, and we can continue to fight for food justice in Washington.

Join us as we meet an unprecedented crisis with an unprecedented response!
