The Washington State Legislature is looking for patterns and information regarding unemployment eligible employees. This information will be used to inform future caseload decisions, and is focused on substitute teachers and regular employees.

OSPI has created an online form for data collection which must be completed and submitted to OSPI by June 30, 2020.

Districts can locate the form here: Report District Staffing Changes due to COVID.

The various sections of the OSPI online form focus on employee counts employed by the district in the 19-20 school year and work schedule alterations.

How WSIPC Can Help

WSIPC has created a base report template in Skyward Qmlativ, titled “Comparison of Hours Worked,” to help districts complete this data request. The report will display data for both active and inactive employees and provides the ability to filter by: Payroll Run, Employee Filter, Position Type and Pay Type. It also provides the ability to display Pay Type Details and/or display totals by Check Date. The data fields include:

  • Employee Name
  • Position Type
  • Employee Number
  • Check Date
  • Pay Type
  • Hours Worked
  • Retirement Hours
  • Workers’ Compensation Hours
  • Payroll Run Pay Schedule Start Date
  • Payroll Run Pay Schedule End Date
  • Payroll Run

The template can be imported and adjusted as needed. Please refer to Qmlativ Help Center for details on Uploading Reports. If you have questions, contact your Information Service Center.

A benefit of being a member of the WSIPC Cooperative is that we can use our combined resources to ensure your district is in compliance with legislative guidance and mandates.

WSIPC and your Information Service Centers are here to support you. We will continue to work closely with OSPI, and to make changes to your Skyward software to meet WA State guidance.
