Migrating to Qmlativ is a strategic decision that requires careful planning, preparation, and execution!
Every successful project has a solid plan and your Statewide Migration Project Team has been working hard to design a phased approach to your Qmlativ migration. The plan has four distinct phases that build on one another to help you achieve success for the long term. Each dimension of the project, such as data, functionality, processes, workflows, people, and culture have their own impact and implications. By defining success for each phase, district leaders and project teams can align their expectations, clearly communicate their goals, monitor progress, and celebrate achievements.
Discover (Discovery)
During this stage, a district is learning about the Skyward Qmlativ migration project elements, including roadmap, phase resource documents, and Qmlativ features to determine whether it’s time to proceed to Qmlativ!
Onboard (Onboarding)
This is the planning phase of the migration project where the district defines the scope, timeline, roles and expectations of the project with support and guidance from your Statewide Migration Project Team. The primary goals of this phase are to assemble a district migration team, lead project contacts, District Content Influencers, and project sponsors. Once the team is assembled, the next steps are partnering with your Statewide Migration Project Team to assess project risk, inventory all third-party applications and completing additional Onboarding activities in order to define a smooth transition path for your software change.
Implement
In the execution phase of the migration project, the district has finished onboarding, project assessments and timings have been clarified, and Go Live scheduling has been completed. Full migration project begins. This is where the district performs the tasks and activities required to migrate their data, functionality and processes to Qmlativ. The primary goal of this phase is to complete the migration tasks on time and with quality, and to gain knowledge and confidense with Qmlativ.
Support
This is the transition phase of the migration project where the district switches from their current software system to Qmlativ and starts using it for their daily operations. The primary goal for this phase is to have a smooth and successful launch of Qmlativ, and to have the nesessary supports and resources in place to address any issues or challenges that may arise.
