Data Center Spotlight - Capital Regional Data Center (ESD113 - Olympia)

For the Capital Regional Data Center (CRDC), providing their districts with the best possible service requires outstanding communication.

The staff of the Capital Regional Data Center (CRDC) understands that to be truly successful a service provider must establish clear two way communication with their clients. Towards that end, much effort has been made to create opportunities and tools that support the exchange of information at a high level. CRDC has established regular face to face opportunities for its districts to gather knowledge and to express their needs. Ranging from monthly forums and workshops for Student and Special Education contacts to a Business Managers Academy, CRDC works hard to maintain personal contact with those they serve.

In addition to in-person communication, the CRDC hosts a well designed web site that offers a wealth of information to their districts (http://crdc.esd113.k12.wa.us/). District personnel can choose from a wide range of training, reference and business practice documents that augment the direct support from Fiscal and Student coordination analysts. CRDC utilizes documentation of their own creation as well as that provided by WSIPC and others to establish a robust library of client help materials.

The Capital Regional Data Center is co-located with and is a component of Educational Service District 113 in Olympia, WA. Led by Data Center Manager Sue Furth, the CRDC provides quality support for 45 local school districts in Grays Harbor, Lewis, Thurston, Mason, and Pacific counties.
